Yaz

Ok. So the other day after having diarrhea 3 times I decided to look up Yaz and diarrhea on google. Well, I found an interesting site where all of these women were talking about all the same symptoms that I am having and it was all bc of Yaz. They said they went off of it and felt great. So, I am thinking that all of my problems result back to Yaz. I've been taking it since August and have been having these problems since September. So, I've been off of Yaz for 2 weeks now and my last diarrhea episode was on Saturday. Yesterday I drank this nasty stuff that is suppose to cleanse your system and take everything that you have put in it (ex. meds) out. I just didn't want to wait for Yaz to finally made it outta my system so I helped it out a little. Hopefully I will start to feel better and all these problems will disapear. But not only for updating, but I wanted to warn everyone that may read my blog of Yaz. It may not happen to everyone, but man the ones it does affect sucks!

you know, My doc put me on Yaz last year (even though i have had allergic reactions to all birth controls) she said this was weaker so I should be fine. I had many complications while on it. So hopefully by you going off of Yaz, you will begin to feel much better soon! I hope so!!!

very interesting! i was on Yaz for 18 months and it wrecked my WORLD for quite a while...only AFTER forgetting to bring it with me on a mini-vacation. i'm a VERY laid back, fun, outgoing person and when i forgot to take it, my body freaked out! i went to a few dr's and they told me that i suffered a "hormone shock"...sorta menopause like. i started having panic attacks, severe anxiety, depression...i've NEVER experienced any of these before. so, anyways, long story longer...i'm glad i'm off and i'm glad YOU are off too :)

i actually wrote the FDA about it!

so, glad you are getting better!

take care and God Bless!

I'm curious if getting off of the Yaz helped you? I've been having chronic diarrhea for 3 years. I've been diagnosed with possible Crohn's or severe IBS-D. It suddenly occurred to me that I had been on Yaz for 3 years. Like you, I googled, saw similar things, and stopped taking it. I've been off of it for one week, and since I stopped my bouts have become MORE frequent. I was told by my doctor it'd take 2 to 3 weeks before it'd be out of my system. I'm worried maybe it wasn't my problem, and maybe I am sick, but I don't know.

Did your problems resolve after you stopped? If so, how long after? Thanks!

I just decided to google yaz and diahrea because I've been on it only a month and have been having diahrea every day!!! I have one pill left, and I won't be taing it again. I also have been having aching in both my calves since starting it, something that I've never ever had before. I'm only on the BCP because I'm about to start IVF. I will never take YAZ again! BAD stuff.
