Okay, so I was kinda looking forward to the weekend. We had some of Matt's family that was gonna be in for the weekend and we had a cookout at the lake to go to. Matt took friday off, so it was a long weekend with him at home too. Well, it all began on Friday night. Matt stepped off our back porch and stepped half on the sidewalk and half off, resulting in a broken ankle. So, now he is in a air cast till Tuesday when we go to the orthropedic doctor and he decides on whether he needs a walking cast or a cast cast. We are hoping for a walking cast and the doctor at urgent care said it was just a minor break, so we are keeping our fingers crossed.
We did make it to our cookout on Saturday, which was nice. It wasn't too hot and Emma was really good. It just made me really nervous having her that close to the water. She's not scared of anything and doesn't get the concept that she can drown.
Then today, Matt and I are in the kitchen talking and all of a sudden it sounded like someone turned the water on in the "old" bathroom. Well, I go in and a fitting blew off where our sink use to be and water was shooting up, almost to the ceiling. OMG!! I start yelling for Matt to hurry and shut the water off and with him being on crutches isn't as fast as it normally is. Water was everywhere, but not only that, but it got under our hardwood floor in the dining room. So, now we have our laminate floor half tore up with a fan drying it and towels all over our old bathroom. We have 5 and 7 weeks till Mr. Chase makes his appearance and we don't have a room for him yet. We are pretty much under the mercy of our brothers generosity to help us so that we can finish our remodeling. There is still some stuff Matt can do but not everything with a broken ankle.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot. We kicked our ac on on Thursday. Once we kicked it on, it didn't stop till 9pm or so. Everyday it has ran non-stop!! It is brand freakin new, we just had it put in last year. So, on Friday they came out and told us to do this and that and if it didn't help over the weekend to give them a call on Monday. Well, I'm calling on Monday!! Our ac has been running since 8am this morning and it only gets hotter. I am one PO'ed lady and the ac guy isn't gonna like me come tomorrow morning. He told us that the ac was big enough to cool our house, well obviously it isn't!! And they are gonna fix it, for FREE!!!
So, to sum up my weekend, UGH!! And in result of it, I am one grumpy lady!!! Hopefully this week will be better. I go to the doc on Tuesday for and ultrasound and I will give an update on Chase. Emma is still Emma. She is making a fine 2 year old, lol. We get those spells where I just don't know what to do with her and then she turns around and is loving and saying "I love you too Mommy." I guess she is just the typical 2 year old and I'm just gonna have to stick it out!

8 Months

So, the pic isn't that great, pretty fuzzy, but you can see the belly and that is all that matters. Here I am, 8 months along and a hormonal mess!! I swear this week I could cry at a drop at a hat!! So, maybe blogging about it will help to releave some of it.
First off, I love my daughter more than anything in the world. But holy cow can she push me to the limits. She, for whatever reason, doesn't listen to me. When she wants something, instead of just asking she immediately goes to whining. I guess she is just being a 2 year old, but man oh man some days I just wanna pull my hair out. When it gets to the point that I am at my limit I could just cry. I don't know if it is just harder b/c I'm pregnant and don't really feel completely like myself or what it is. Some days I even question myself as a mom, some days I wonder if it would just be best for me to go back to working part-time, maybe it would make me a better mom. But I don't know. Hopefully it'll get better once I am not pregnant anymore. I know it isn't going to be easier with 2, but atleast I will be myself and that will be one less thing and I'll be able to focus on the kids 100%.
So now that I've made myself sound like a horrible mom let's move onto me being a crappy wife. My poor husband has been having to reassure me atleast once a week that I'm not gross and that. I have been finding myself wanting more of his attention and affection. Then we are in the middle of remodeling and I've been getting frustrated with it not being done yet, but he works so I can't expect it to be done right away. It's not fair to him to expect him to work on it every night after work. Plus, he can't work on it if I'm wanting him to spend time with me. I'm telling ya, these hormones of mine have got me jumping all over the place!!
Then today, I read a friends blog and all I could do is cry. She is such an awesome woman and has been thru so much but it just seems like life keeps throwing her lemons, but you know what, she keeps making lemonaide. I honestly don't know how she does it and I'm sure there are days when she thinks that to herself, but if you were to meet her she is the most upbeat person I know. I have yet to find her in a bad mood or unwilling to help when someone needs it. I try to think of comforting words to tell her, but I don't want to sound so "awww" to her. You know, the words that everyone says to you. Like she has described it before "when people tilt their head to one side and say how are you." I don't want to be like that, but boy I just want to be able to comfort her. It's like I know she has to be hurting and there isn't anything I can do to help take it away. I guess the best thing for me to do is just be there. I know that she is reading this, I'm here, I'm always here!!! You can call me and I'm there in a minute!
Anyways, I'm telling ya. Today is just a super emotional day for me and I don't know why. As far as the pregnancy goes. Nothing is bad about it, I'm getting uncomfortable, but that is just being pregnant. I am starting to out grow all of my shirts. The shirts are getting to where either they aren't long enough to cover my belly and waste band on my pants or they look like a huge tent on me. This pregnancy I have been really wanting to avoid the tent and wear shirts that tie and that to show off my belly. I am enjoying feeling him move so much. He is such an active baby!! I go back to the doctor next week for another ultrasound and then my appointments are every week. The week after my ultrasound I start my nonstress tests. I'm not sure how often I have to have those, but I know there will be a few. I am hoping that I will be induced on July 19th, that is 10 days before my due date. Matt told me over the weekend "you know you are gonna have a c-section, he's gonna be 10lbs 7oz". I was like, "well I guess you better be prepared to take some more time off of work so that you can help out." I don't want a c section, that scares me to no end, but I will do whatever is best for Chase. That is my only concern with this pregnancy is that he is ok.
So, now that you have been every which way with me thru this post. Going from one thing to another with no rhyme or reason. You have been able to sense a little bit of my emotional rollercoaster. I just go from one thing to another.

GROSS!!
So today one of my friends called and I was talking to her and catching up. Well, while on the phone my dad shows up. He was dropping off some ketchup that he gets from this really good ketchup factory for cheap, anyways that doesn't really matter. Well, we walk back into the living room where Emma is. I saw some "mud" on the carpet and was wondering where it came from. Dad bends down to pick it up and it isn't mud. Emma then said "I pooped". OMG, the girl pooped in her diaper and then pulled some of it out. Not only did she pull some out, but she had wiped it on the tv!! I was in complete disbelief and didn't even begin to know what to say. She is showing every sign of readiness for potty training, I just can't get her to go. So I am thinking that tomorrow after getting my running around done, we are gonna hit the potty training hard core. Hopefully we will make it somewhere with it, but I'm not setting my hopes up too high. Can you believe it tho. Then later on in the evening I was fixing supper and Matt & Emma were in the living room. Just then I heard Matt say "Get your hand outta your diaper." Sure enough she had pooped again and was gonna pull it out again. What in the world am I gonna do with her. I'm gonna have to keep a constant eye on her or else my house is gonna be covered in poop!! GROSS!!!!!!!!!!!!

And the worst wife award goes to......
ME!!! Okay, so I feel horrible. Today is Matt and I's 3rd anniversary and I totally forgot until I was at my diabetic appointment. I had to sign my name and date it and then BAM like a big ole brick it hit me upside my head. TODAY IS MY ANNIVERSARY!! I felt so bad. I instantly texted Matt and told him Happy Anniversary and he said it in return and then said "You forgot didn't you". I owned up to it and have been paying for it ever since. Usually I don't forget about stuff like this so let me just go on defense and list my excuses, but in the end it was just purely my fault and I know it. Okay, I've been dealing with a fussy 2 year old, I'm prego and super tired from that (which in all honesty I am super tired today, more than normal), been running around like crazy going to doc appointments and trying not to forget what I need to take where. Okay, so those are good excuses, but like I said it all comes down to I forgot.
The last 3 years have been great!! My husband is a wonderful husband. He loves me no matter what, even if I don't put make-up on or I'm being grumpy or I'm just being a down right bitch, he still loves me. I have no clue what I would ever do without him. He has become my best friend. He is always there and he understands me, he completes me. He is my better half. I know that us women, well some of us, joke about how we are the better half and they are lucky to have us, well I am the lucky one. 3 years may not seem like a long time, but you have to start at the beginning and everyday is even better than the last. I am so glad that he is the one I am going to grow old with, the one I am having kids with and the one I lay down beside every night and wake up to every morning. He is the love of my life and I am so blessed!

30 weeks!
Well well well. Yesterday I was 30 weeks and went to the doc for another ultrasound. Now, if you remember right I was just there 3 weeks for an ultrasound and Chase was measuring at 2lbs 6oz and in the 65th percentile. Let's just say he has been busy growing!!! He measured 4lbs 1oz and in the 93rd percentile. The ultrasound tech said on average the baby will gain 1/2lb a week from here on out, so with 10 weeks left to go that puts him at 9lbs. Yep, another biggin for me. I'm telling ya, I don't have babies, I have toddlers!!! But the doc wasn't worried about the size. Everything looked great, he gave us a couple kicks during the ultrasound which was funny. The tech also looked down yunder and yep, he is still def a boy. She was point out the sac and dooder as plain as day! He is quite proud and never tries to cover it up. They tested my iron and I'm a little low, which I was with Emma too. So, now I am on iron pills too. I don't mind tho, anything to help him out. I really need to get pics up. If I remember I will try to get the pics out to my parents so I can scan them, but I'm not making any promises.
This morning it was too cute. Emma woke up and came into my room. She layed there for a while with me and then got up and said "Where's baby Chase?" I told her in my belly and she said "Can I see?". So, I lifted up my shirt and she was all excited. She told him hi and gave him a big kiss. I think this is the first time she has asked where he is. Hopefully by the time he is here she will be ready for him. We talk about him everyday, but I'm doubting that she actually understands that he is gonna live here, all the time. But she loves babies, so that is a good sign!!
Today I am off to the Diabetic Center for my monthly check-up. Everything should go fine and I should be in and out within no time. I don't think there is anything to do but just make sure the insulin is working right and I'm using it right. Oh and of course to make sure I am keeping my sugar under control. I'm telling ya, I'm always at an appoint. My next doc appt is June 10th and then I start weekly visits. I will be getting ultrasounds and non-stress tests all the the time. So, that is my update, not a whole lot, but that is ok, I don't need a lot of excitment!! lol

Potty Training....UGH!
Ok, so Sunday night Emma started telling me "I pooped, I need my butt changed". Well, she didn't actually poop, but she did pee. The Monday morning she kept up the same thing. So, I thought to myself, ok she is finally ready to start the process. So, Tuesday we head to Walmart, she picked out some princess panties and was very excited about them. She wanted to put them on right there in the store. Well, it is Wednesday and when she woke up this morning I asked her if she wanted to wear her panties and she did. So, I put them on along with them plastic panties so I don't have pee all over my carpet. The first time she peed she flipped out b/c she was wet. I thought this is good, she doesn't like to get wet. So I changed her and put on new panties, next time she pooped, which wasn't dramatic b/c she wasn't wet. Well, onto pair of panty 3. Next thing I know she started flipping out on me again, b/c she was wet. I mean crying and all. So, I've resorted to putting the diaper back on her, b/c I don't want it to be so dramatic. Plus, she has NEVER peed in the potty, not even once. I'm kinda stuck, I don't know what to do. This potty training stuff seems to be so hard. She likes wearing her big girl panties, but she doesn't want to go on the potty. She will sit there for a while, but has yet to pee. Anyone have any advise? What in the heck do I do. I don't want to force it, b/c then she is just not gonna want to do it even more. So to sum my morning up, within 3 hours of being awake we have went thru 3 pairs of panties, 2 pees and 1 poop. I wish there was a potty training camp. lol

Long time no blog!
Well, I've been procrastinating on updating my blog and don't ask why, I just don't know.
First off, Emma. Emma is the complete and total joy in my life right now. She is absolutely wonderful. She is so smart and so sweet and then on the turn of a dime BAM the attitude comes out. For whatever reason she will argue with me and as soon as Matt says something she is like, "okay". It never fails, she can get me to that point where I just want to pull my hair out and then she turns around and says "I love you Mommy" and my heart melts all over again. She talks like such a big girl, full sentences and she understands what she is saying. My mom says it is like talking to an adult. She remembers everything and mocks everything we do. I want to make it to the zoo before I have Chase, I know she will love it!! The girl doesn't eat much at all, Matt asks her if she is watching her weight and she nods her head yes, it's too funny. But since she doesn't eat much of anything except fruit, I buy that pediasure stuff so she is getting the vitamins and nutrients she needs. It is expensive, but she needs that stuff. As far as potty training, she wants absolutely nothing to do with it! I don't want to force her, b/c then she is just gonna not want to even more. I don't want to make it something tramatic for her, I want her to want to and to somewhat enjoy it. The doc doesn't seemed worried about it at all and agrees with doing on her own time. Right now her favorite thing to do is go down the slide and she loves going down the slide on her tummy head first. She just thinks it's the best thing ever. She loves going to the playground, which is what she calls the park. The girl would stay outside 24/7 if I let her, she is a total outdoors girls. She has so many of her daddy's qualities and that seems to just make her even more perfect.
Speaking of the man, he has been remodeling our house getting it ready for Chase's arrival. We have our room done and he is in the middle of doing our bathroom. The poor guy is worn out and there isn't much I can do to help. I try to help out as much as I can, but I don't think I'm that much help at all. Between being pregnant and just not knowing what I am doing, I think I'm just in the way. But he does a fabulous job! Our bedroom looks awesome!!! Everyone that sees it is just amazed and tells him that they will call him if they need any remodeling done. Matt is just like "no thanks". I'm sure he will be more than happy when it is all over. After the bathroom he has the 2 kid's rooms, which shouldn't be too bad. I think the bathroom is gonna be the worst, b/c of all the water lines he had to move.
Onto the little man and I guess me since he's still inside baking. I am currently 28 weeks 2 days. I had an ultrasound at 27 weeks and the doc said that he is a little over 2 1/2 lbs, which puts him in the 65th percentile. He said it's a little bigger than average, but not enough to be concerned about, but everything was absolutely perfect and he is def a boy!!! I had asked if he would have to put in a perdiction right now on his birth weight what he thought it would be and he said as long as I keep my sugar under control like I have been that he wouldn't see why he wouldn't be between 8-8 1/2 lbs. Holy cow!! I can totally do that!! I was expecting a bigger number, but as long as everything stays going good, then no c-section for this girl!! I have to go to the doc every 3 weeks for an ultrasound, my next one is at 30 weeks. He also told me at my last appt that around 31 weeks will start my nonstress tests. I'm not sure how frequently I'll have to have those, but between the ultrasounds and nonstress tests I miswell just take a pillow and blanket and live there. lol Oh yeah, then I also have diabetic appointments on top of those appointments. Which my diabetic appointments don't last long, b/c everything there is great. I'm doing the shots and everything going great. I'm just at the stage where I am feeling huge and my energy hasn't been all that great. I'm not sure if it is being pregnant or just this gloomy rainy weather. I don't seem to sleep well at night, b/c I am tired. Then if I try to take a nap during the day I just lay there and think of everything I could and need to be doing instead of sleeping. Anyways, I better get going and get some breakfast, the little guy and I are hungry!!
